I'm a husband and father of four daughters, all of whom are athletes. My family and my faith in youth sports drive    everything I do. For the past ten years, I've coached high school basketball on the north side of Settle, where I've had the privilege of mentoring and developing talented young athletes both on and off the court. This year, I accepted the         position of Head Coach at Auburn Riverside High School . My passion for coaching comes from the opportunity to invest in young people and help shape future leaders through sports, discipline, and accountability.The youth is our future.

COACHING PHILOSOPHY

I believe in teaching the game the right way. Fundamentals first, relentless work ethic, and a team-first mindset. Our    program emphasize shooting mechanics, footwork, proper hand placement, basketball IQ, discipline and attention to  detail. Beyond the X's and O's, I focus heavily on character development, accountability, confidence, and leadership.  Practices are purposeful, competitive, and energetic, while still creating an environment where players enjoy the process and grow together as a team.

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT AND STYLE

My program prioritizes skill development, decision-making, and game preparation. We use drills that transfer directly to live game situations and encourage players to become true students of the game. I value versatility, toughness,         communication, and strong defensive principles. I take pride in helping athletes improve their fundamentals, elevate their basketball IQ, and reach both their personal and team goals. 

PLAYING BACKGROUND 

Basketball has been a lifelong part of my journey. I played at every level, including professionally for many years, which gave me firsthand experience with the discipline, preparation, and mindset required to compete at a high level.            Basketball is also deeply rooted in our family. My brother, Devean George, played in the NBA for many years with     teams including the Los Angles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, and Golden State Warriors, winning three NBA championships with the Lakers. Those experiences and conversations around the game have greatly influenced my approach to coaching, leadership, and mentorship.

COMMUNITY AND MENTORSHIP

I'm committed to building strong relationships within the community and creating opportunities for athletes to grow  academically, socially, emotionally, and athletically. I work closely with parents, school staff, and local organizations to support player development and life skills beyond basketball. My goal is to create a positive and competitive culture where every athlete feels valued, challenged, and supported.

GOALS

My goal is to building competitive programs such as George's All Stars that are rooted in fundamentals, discipline,   teamwork, and player development. I want to help athletes compete at the next level while also developing confident young leaders who represent their families, schools, and communities with pride.
